Lovely food, friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Upholstery needs a good clean, dirty cutlery. Also overcharged on our order. However rectified immediately by the lovely waiters. Overall we had a nice time. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We went for afternoon tea. I had the vegan option whilst my step daughter had the standard option. The food was delicious! The tea was lovely! The staff looked after us well! Its our third year back. I have to share with the management of The River Restaurant, Lowry Hotel that I recently had a brilliant dinner, with some outstanding cooking- cooking and ingredients and a beautifully stylish setting. I want to call out the superb waitress Yara, specifically as she was an absolutely brilliant host, very professional, warm, knew the menu and could have a really good chat with. The restaurant was quiet the night we went but we created a great atmosphere and had so much fun thanks to Yara and her great personality. Lowry managers: please look after her! Also - please tell the chefs their salmon supreme was divine. The black cherry cheesecake superb. And the chicken & black pudding terrine was something else! We will be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £70–80
