Just not worth what they’re charging food wise. I’ll say some of the infused drinks are really good though. Also I’ve heard the manager brag that he’s one of the youngest managers in the short north yet his family owns the place. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

This place is amazing! I'm in Columbus for a conference right now, and I ate here three nights in a row. The second night I brought a couple of friends, and they were dying to come back with me the third night. I saw other repeat diners from my conference as well. We tried basically everything from the small plates, and I had a couple of the mocktails as well as the butter chicken. Nothing disappointed in the slightest. I would especially recommend the sweet potato dish, which has delightfully crispy kale and a really nice creamy yogurt sauce. Every flavor was spot on, but the food was escalated in a way that I haven't seen before. The price points were pretty unbelievable as well for what we were getting. I can't imagine getting anything close to this good where I live for less than two or three times the price. On top of this, it was clear that every staff member I talked to was really proud to be working there and truly loved the food. It's really heartening to hear the genuine joy in people's voices when they're talking about their work. This really set Rooh apart from other restaurants in a way that I wasn't expecting. Highly recommend, I would come back to Columbus just to eat here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A friend and I dined here last week with the goal of ordering (almost) everything on the menu. (She has an allergy to shrimp/prawn, so we didn't order those dishes). We initially met 24 years ago when I was a manager of an Indian restaurant, and the owner hired her as a server. Here's what we ordered (and we asked that the chef up the spice level a bit). For the record, everythingwas delicious, but some dishes stood out: Appetizers: Cauliflower Koliwada -delicious, toasty cumin flavor - my favorite vegetarian appetizer Wild Mushroom Kulcha - I liked it Chicken Malai Tikka - delicious Lamb Keema Hyderabadi - this was my favorite appetizer, even though I'm not a huge lamb fan Beef Short Rib Koftas - very delicious...probably my 2nd favorite appetizer Entrees: Paneer Pinwheel - this dish has the Makhani Red Pepper curry that is used with the chicken Makhani. This curry has always been one of my favorites, so I'm biased. Achari Paneer Saag - this was delicious, and they were very generous with the spinach in the dish, which was a nice surprise. Stuffed Indian Eggplant - delicious Butter Chicken - My comfort food dish, and it did not disappoint. If you do eat chicken, I would recommend this over this pinwheels, which uses the same sauce. Otherwise, the pinwheels are a great vegetarian option. Lamb Shank Nihari - This, is the best entree on the menu (although we didn't try the Prawns or Beef Short Rib). The sauce is so flavorful, and the lamb is roasted to perfection ...so tender! Again, I'm not a huge lamb fan, so I love it when places surprise me. Dessert: Pumpkin Jamon Carrot Halwa Cake I loved both desserts, so what you choose would be to preference, not quality. I personally loved the Halwa cake because I prefer desserts that are less sweet. I recommend that you try both.
