It is the best spot near Atlanta City Studio. According to the guests' reviews, Chinese dishes here are quite good and the menu is well-organized. This place is a far cry from good!!!This was my first time at Ruby Chow's where my daughter was having dinner with myself and two friends to crlebrate her birthday. We had a reserved table, and arrived on time. When we entered the restaurant we were pleasantly greeted and seated. Our waitress Louise was outstanding!! Everything else went downhill from there. We felt rushed with incomplete orders throughout. We ordered several sushi plates with some yet to be served. My daughters order was a sushi which should have included yellow tail tuna. There was none on the plate presented. However a table of about 10 guests arrived after us and it seemed there was no problem with their service. Plates were brought out to them expiditiously, properly timed between plates.Our service..still looking for some ordered and missing items. Although we were only a table of four the experience was a nightmare!!. I felt like were being herded like cattle. Several plates coming as well as missing all at once. My daughter pointed out that there was no yellow tail tuna on her sushi which should have been included. Our waitress apologized and returned the dish to the kitchen to be corrected. This leads me to a thought..was it that there was no more yellow tail tuna left due to servicing the party of 10 or was it that they thought we would not know the difference? These kinds of errors ony happen in new restaurant openings where the team does not know the menu!!! I canceled my last plate of sushi as everyone had already completed their meal, which i was told they are making it now twice in 20 minute wait. The new dish returned to my daughter was still incorrect with 2 slithers of yellow tail tuna instead of a balanced display. A young lady from the restaurant team came to the table with an apology about her understanding all did not go as well. Beng a professional with over 40 years of experience in hospitality management, this situation was poorly handled. She offered my daughter a complimentary additional item from the menu to go. A better alternative would have been to at least comp her entire meal!! Ruby Chow's RUINED my daughter's birthday evening experience. We will NOT RETURN. Thank you again Loiuse you were the only compensation of pleasantry this evening after spending over $400 for a botched up evening on my daughter's birthday. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2 Price per person: $80–90

I have been here several times and consistently impressed with each and every dish. My most recent visit was definitely different. I noticed a marked decline in the quality of the food and the menu seemed smaller (particularly my favorite walnut shrimp were gone). The crab rangoons were particularly bad, worse than your standard American Chinese spot. I'll give them a benefit of the doubt that possibly there was a backup chef, but I can't help notice it coincided with an announcement of expansion which could possibly signal a more business-esque approach to slightly decrease quality and increase prices to squeeze a little more out of every check.
