A hidden gem to be found!! I have lived in Reno for 8 yrs, Nevada for 22, a NY transplant. The reviews brought me in as a 1st time customer, Walked in, ordered the wonton soup to go. It was a small order, I was greeted at the door immediately, super polite service, immaculately clean. The to go order was more than I imagined, it was a bowl with vermicelli, wontons and extras. The broth was separate in a qt container plus a side of sprouts and seasoning sauces. I found SK by a google review search and can’t believe as a local I have not found this place sooner. This was the perfect meal for me while recovering from a procedure. Mill & Kietzke, NW corner - go explore, easy to find even if you are from out of town and staying in the midtown/downtown area. I have searched for a Viet restaurant that reminded me of grandma's kitchen and home. This place had food that was authentic from my home and growing up. Great Vietnamese and Chinese food options. Well presented, great tasting, and great portions. I couldn't have been more shocked at how it all came out! My daughter loved her mi won thanh and I had the vermicelli noodles with BBQ beef (so flavorful), as well as the black pepper steak with fried rice. The starter soup was busting with flavor. SF Kitchen ranked up there with the best restaurants in Little Siagon (Westminster) where I grew up! Thank you guys so much! I will definitely be stopping by whenever I'm in Reno. So worth it! I wish I found out about this place sooner!! I ordered take out last night and requested it to be ready for pickup after work and they delivered! The lady was super friendly, great English, and was patient while I ordered. I also ordered sesame balls when I got there and I am so glad I did! The lady even remembered my name when I was leaving to say goodbye. I already knew the food was going to be good by the amazing customer service I received. One of the staff also opened the door for me since I had my hands full - that was super unexpected and so kind. I ordered a LOT of food just for two of us and I am so glad I did. From the menu, I ordered: Summer roll ,egg roll, pot stickers, sesame balls (had red bean in them!) #1 rare steak, flank, meatball pho with extra meat, #17 BBQ pork over vermicelli with extra meat, and #15 Bun Bo Hue. Everything was top notch and you definitely get what you pay for. Chefs kiss for the food and staff. I cannot wait to dine in and bring friends!! Thank you SF Kitchen!!
