Definitely one of the best places to stop by in Trastevere. You can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches you find there. I've had the panino con parmigiana, polpette (meatballs), and njuda (spicy salami). Service is great too and the food comes out quickly. If you get the chance to meet Laura, she is super friendly, accommodating, and was absolutely amazing to talk to. I would 100% go back. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €1–10

So nice we had to eat there twice! Absolutely phenomenal food I cannot recommend this place enough. From the amazing hosts who told us all the history about their amazing mother to the range of languages they spoke talking to customers. This place is a must if you are in Rome, way better than a pub parmy! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: The parmigiana is naturally vegetarian Dietary restrictions: They were very conscious of allergies and made sure to ask and double check

Absolutely incredible! We stumbled upon SPESSO and it ended up being the highlight of our day. The sandwiches are packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients, but what really made the experience was the staff. We were welcomed with such genuine warmth and kindness from the moment we walked in. It felt like being a guest in someone’s home. Don't skip this place! Meal type: Dinner
