ENGLISH: Fair rules, unacceptable manners. Visited Friday 21 August 2026, around 4:15 pm. I was with a friend and my 7-year-old daughter, who urgently needed the toilet. The person acting as manager — dark jacket, no tie, white shirt — told us loudly and rudely that using the toilet required a purchase, while chewing gum as he spoke to customers. I was willing to pay, and said so at the till: I was told I had to buy a coffee, and a receipt was issued for a coffee I had not ordered and do not drink. When I politely objected, I was mocked out loud in front of other customers. The cost was never the issue — the complete lack of respect towards customers, and towards a small child in obvious distress, was. Not recommended, especially for families with young children. Chi in quel momento faceva le veci del responsabile — giacca scura senza cravatta, camicia bianca — ci ha risposto ad alta voce e in modo sgarbato, continuando a masticare una gomma mentre parlava con i clienti, che per usare il bagno bisognava consumare. Che l’obbligo di consumazione esista lo capisco benissimo, ed ero pronta a pagare: il problema non è la regola, è il modo. Alla cassa ho chiesto espressamente di pagare l’uso del bagno; mi è stato risposto che dovevo per forza prendere un caffè, e mi è stato emesso uno scontrino per un caffè che non avevo ordinato e che non bevo. Quando l’ho fatto notare con educazione, sono stata derisa ad alta voce davanti agli altri clienti con battute sul fatto che “ormai sono tutti avvocati” e che io sarei una “gran signora”. Non è il costo il problema: è l’assenza totale di rispetto verso i clienti, e in particolare verso una bambina piccola in evidente difficoltà. Mi sono sentita umiliata. In una zona così turistica ci si aspetta personale formato all’accoglienza: qui manca del tutto. Sconsigliato, soprattutto a chi viaggia con bambini. La personne qui faisait alors fonction de responsable — veste sombre sans cravate, chemise blanche — nous a répondu à voix haute et de manière grossière qu’il fallait consommer pour utiliser les toilettes, tout en mâchant un chewing-gum pendant qu’il s’adressait aux clients. Je comprends parfaitement qu’une consommation minimale puisse être exigée, et j’étais prête à payer : le problème n’est pas la règle, ce sont les manières. À la caisse, j’ai expressément demandé à payer l’usage des toilettes. On m’a répondu que je devais obligatoirement prendre un café, et un ticket m’a été remis pour un café que je n’avais pas commandé et que je ne bois pas. Lorsque je l’ai fait remarquer poliment, j’ai été tournée en dérision à voix haute devant les autres clients, avec des remarques du type « désormais tout le monde est avocat » et sur la « grande dame » que je serais. Le coût n’a jamais été le problème : c’est l’absence totale de respect envers les clients, et envers une petite fille en difficulté évidente. Je me suis sentie humiliée. Dans un quartier aussi touristique, on s’attend à un personnel formé à l’accueil. Ici, cela fait totalement défaut. À éviter, en particulier pour les familles avec de jeunes enfants.
