I've been going to sake house for years now, and there have been times where I give the benefit of the doubt for a place with charm and delicious food but the service and the operation of the place has been really decreasing for me. I think one of my recent experiences also left a poor mark to the point where I'd leave a review. The food itself is exceptional, some of the booths are uncomfortable. The main issues I have are with the treatment, even if you've been there for years the owner doesn't really treat you any nicer or try to get to know you; the food is great but there is a lack of personality. And where there is that lack of personality it is met with cold or sneaky ways to make more money from your ticket/order. That may be charging twice for a single pot of tea, or not separating your ticket or asking if your ticket will be separate if you are getting bogo, and forcing you to pay more. Just little administrative things that make the experience more cold. As much as I want to come back, because the restaurant itself has meaning from the friends I've brought I think I'll try another sushi place for the same price. I usually order the shrimp tempura sushi at this restaurant every week. They offer a buy one, get one deal, but instead of preparing the sushi separately, they place them together. Unfortunately, this arrangement wasn’t suitable for me. I politely requested that they separate the sushi, but the person taking my order began explaining their reasoning. Despite my repeated requests, they refused to separate the sushi. As a result, my food was taken back and served in two styrofoam plates. I was puzzled by this unusual presentation and inquired about the reason behind it. The person involved took the styrofoam plates back, threw them in the sushi plates, shuffled them, and returned them to me. The lack of courtesy and respect displayed by the staff has significantly impacted my perception of Sake’s future visits. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Decent place, however be careful with going on the holidays as the BOGO sushi turns into Buy One Get One HALF OFF. Me and my partner went Valentine's day for a quick lunch and both got the BOGO sushi, however we were not made aware by the waitress of this change until the check arrived. No apologies were given or explanations when we expressed our confusion. After looking back at the menu, this exception is noted in small print only once and not on the page we ordered from. The dining experience was nice until this issue left us with a sour taste in our mouths. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–40

Hello, Monica, thank you for your feedback and for dining with us on Valentine’s Day. We’re sorry to hear about the confusion with the BOGO offer and that it wasn’t clearly communicated, but we did writing on the menu(except Holiday). We hope you’ll give us another chance to provide a better experience on regular day, thanks
