My husband and I came here on a work trip, and this was my favorite dining experience. The service was amazing; Katie, the manager, was incredibly friendly and noticed the details. We observed her training her team, and I could tell she was an awesome leader. I am 7 months pregnant, and as I waddled to the bathroom, a kitchen worker stepped out ahead of me. When he saw me, he backed away and let me go ahead of him. The hostess, too, even though we didn’t have a reservation (and it books up), found us a table and gave us a great experience. The food was incredible; I had the scallop special, and it hit the spot. I had never had squash the way they prepared it! You can tell this place really takes pride in the experience. At the end, we ordered a dessert, and the manager blessed our evening even more by comping it from our meal. Also, our waitress, who was starting out and being shadowed, did an amazing job. Highly recommend this spot for a great date night that’s sure to impress in Boulder, Colorado! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner

SALT is one of those rare restaurants where you can feel the intention behind it before you ever take the first bite. The food is exceptional: fresh, thoughtful, beautifully prepared, and somehow both elevated and completely unpretentious. You can taste the commitment to quality ingredients and the care that goes into every plate. The atmosphere has that quintessential Boulder warmth: intimate, welcoming, a little soulful, and the kind of place that makes you want to linger over one more glass of wine. But what impressed me most was the hospitality. There is a genuine warmth here that can’t be manufactured. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly proud of what they’re creating together. In a world full of restaurants chasing trends, SALT feels grounded in something more timeless: good food, thoughtfully sourced ingredients, good people, and the belief that sharing a meal should actually mean something. An absolute Boulder gem. I’ll be back.
