After skipping lunch the happy hour lumpia and spam masubi was a lifesaver. I can't speak to anything else yet but this spot has so much to offer! Soju, fresh fruit, dessert, frozen items to take home and cook. Fresh seafood, obviously. Can't wait to return and try more.

Seattle Fish Guys is an easy 5 stars from me. These days, I usually come here for the poke bowls, but I’ve tried all kinds of things on the menu over the years. Pictured here are the crab cakes, and they’re absolutely delicious. One thing I really appreciate is the story behind the business. The owners previously worked at Pike Place Market and are third-generation Asian Americans from Seattle. You can tell they care about quality and their craft. If it’s your first time, the seafood counter can feel a little intimidating, especially when it’s busy. Don’t feel rushed. Take your time, look around, and ask questions if you have them. Seattle can sometimes feel a little fast-paced, but once you get past that, the food is absolutely worth the wait. There are outdoor tables available year-round. During the warmer months, they’re one of my favorite places to enjoy a meal. On those rare sunny Seattle days, it’s a great spot to sit outside, while the colder, rainy months make it a little less inviting. I’ve since moved away from the city, so I don’t get to visit as often as I used to, but every time I’m back, it’s a place I look forward to. I only wish they’d open a location on the west side so I could enjoy it more often.
