Not Autism friendly!! I was advised (after communicating with Lisa at the restaurant) any time we are queuing with autistic children to let someone know on arrival and the staff would do their best to find a table a little quicker. We arrived at 1.15 and informed two young ladies who were outside with a clipboard of our situation. 14.35 now and we haven't seen either of the young ladies again and we are still in a massive queue! Trying to keep Autistic children in a line for over 90 minutes is ridiculously stressful and in this day and age you would think the "famous award winning" restaurant would do better! Nestled in the picturesque town of Saltburn, The Seaview Restaurant offers a dining experience that tantalizes the taste buds while treating patrons to a breathtaking coastal panorama. My recent visit to this culinary haven left me satisfied, though not without a few nuances. Let's start with the star of the show—the fish and chips. The Seaview Restaurant has truly mastered the art of this British classic. The golden, crispy batter encasing the flaky fish was a symphony of textures, and the accompanying chips were a perfect balance of fluffy interior and crunchy exterior. Each bite transported me to a seaside culinary paradise, making it evident why locals and visitors rave about their fish and chips. The real showstopper, however, was the view. Perched on the edge of Saltburn, The Seaview Restaurant lives up to its name with an unparalleled vantage point of the ocean. The expansive windows allowed diners to soak in the mesmerizing scenery, transforming the meal into a visual feast that perfectly complemented the delectable dishes. While the food and view undoubtedly stole the spotlight, the service was slow. Although the staff was friendly and accommodating, the pace of the meal left room for improvement. However, it's essential to note that the breathtaking backdrop and the scrumptious fare may well compensate for the leisurely service, especially if you're in the company of good conversation and a relaxed mindset. The Seaview Restaurant's commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients was evident in the quality of the dishes. The dedication to authenticity, especially in fish and chips, is commendable and adds an extra layer of appreciation for the culinary experience. In conclusion, The Seaview Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful combination of exceptional fish and chips and an unparalleled seaside view. The culinary journey may require patience due to the leisurely service, but the overall experience is well worth it. So, if you find yourself in Saltburn, prepare to be enchanted by the tantalizing flavours and breathtaking vistas that await you at The Seaview Restaurant. We went to restaurant about 6.15 pm on a Monday. Asked if there was an available table for two inside or out. . Have you booked I was asked. No we hadn't. The answer was no. Not not can you come back later or can we book you another night. Total disinterest in us as customers. We went to the takeaway ( which we have used numerous times in the past) . Good chips but appalling fish. Encased in thick greasy batter. We ate on the pier and could see the terrace only two tables occupied the whole time we ate. Will never eat there again. Believe it or not it is extremely rare for me to complain.
