TOURIST TRAP / CURRENCY SCAM WARNING! The cashier here is running a Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) scam on international visitors. When I went to pay, the total was audibly stated. Instead of showing me the card terminal screen, the employee hid the screen, told me to tap my card, and manually selected the "USD" option on his side of the counter. This forced my card to be charged in US dollars at a completely fake, inflated exchange rate that cost me an extra markup. Per Visa and Mastercard merchant rules, customers MUST be given the choice of currency. Hiding the terminal and selecting USD without the customer's consent to pocket a bank kickback is fraudulent and deceptive. If you are a tourist, DEMAND to see the card machine before you tap. Make sure it shows Euros (€), not your home currency. Better yet, go to an honest shop instead. UPDATE replying to the owner:I am not kidding, and pretending this never happened does not change reality. My receipt from your establishment explicitly states: "I have been offered a choice of currencies." I was never shown the Flatpay terminal screen or given a choice. Your staff bypassed the prompt before handing it to me so your business could pocket the DCC processing kickback. Visa and Mastercard strictly forbid merchants from choosing the currency on a customer's behalf. I am well within my rights to file a formal dispute with my bank for this rule violation, so own up to your staff's actions instead of calling your customers liars.

Spero che Lei stia scherzando! Noi esercenti non "intaschiamo" nessuna commissione dalle banche se selezioniamo (cosa che non accade in nessun caso) la valuta diversa dall'euro.Come si permette di parlare di TRUFFA? Porgiamo sempre il pos al cliente e se esce nella schermata la scelta della valuta non siamo noi a decidere!

Buonasera, Lei fa riferimento ai prezzi al tavolo, se a Campo de' Fiori e zone limitrofe ( anche all'Eur in realtà ) trova il caffè con servizio al tavolo a 1,50 euro, La invito ad andare li. Tra l'altro il menú è visibile e alla portata di chiunque.
