First of all, the worst service. We are in rush , May we ask politely if the waitress can take the order, but the waitress just simply walked away to other table. And finally the waitress came to our table and took orders, we just ordered a dish of dumplings. The reaction of the waitress "what?!" I am just like so shocked . And then later on , we found out that the lady is the boss. No wonder to customers. Won't be back again.

If you love carbs you'll love Shandong Deluxe. Handpulled noodles, dumplings, buns, wraps...they do 'em all. I am personally obsessed with their thick chewy noodles and find myself craving their "big pan chicken" at least once a week. This is a party platter with what feels like an entire chicken hacked into small pieces (bones and skin still included, just the way I like it) on top of a bed of oily thick noodles (also just the way I like it) flavored with soy sauce, pepper, spices, and more. This is apparently a popular Xinjiang-style dish and, according to my neighbors who are from mainland China, very authentic! I was less impressed with their liangpi (cold noodles) as the vinegar was especially sour and it made the dish taste stale. I recommend Terra Cotta Warrior's version instead. Overall, this is a gem of a restaurant and exactly the type of local business I love supporting in the Sunset/Parkside neighborhoods. Cash only!
