Everyone waited 50 min and no food. Heard a lot of screaming in the kitchen between the waitress and chef. Apparently a “plumbing problem.” Will not come here again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 1 Service: 1

After the four of us being seated, we waited about ten minutes making every attempt to catch the server's attention to place our order. We were totally ignored, and felt as if they were too busy for us. Another five minutes later, we just decided to get up and leave and eat elsewhere. Very poor customer service, and I live only two blocks away. They could've had a long term repeat customer.

Note: Cash only. Shanghai house restaurant is a hidden gem near golden gate park (Spreckels lake). The restaurant is tiny (fit 8 tables) and easily to miss. I can understand why everyone complain about the service, but bare with it the food is definitely worth it. The wait for food was a bit longer than any other Chinese places (waited for 30 mins). The fried dumplings are excellent and totally recommended.
