Stayed here a couple of times and it's a great central location with very friendly staff (especially impressed by Finn), clean simple rooms with complimentary continental breakfast and a cracking bar. Not tried the food yet but that's just an excuse to be able to go back!

Picked this place for a weekend wedding taking place at Northside Farm. Petrect location. 10mins drive, ubers were really easy to get a hold of. The rooms were really good, comfy bed, amazing shower. Staff couldn't do enough for ya. The place os a family run business and you really get that vibe. Loads of locals enjoying the pub, lovely beer garden, fantastic atmosphere. Everyone, staff and locals were really welcoming and inviting. I've been to places before where ya feel like an outsider, not this place. There's a pub literally a stones throw away called the balck bull which is also amazing and open late for those who want to continue the party Highly recommend. So much so, we are considering having a weekend there, just because we can Service: 5

We were staying nearby and visited the Ship Inn for dinner. You order food and drink at the bar. Depending on what time or day you go, it might be a little loud... for example on our visit, there was a group using the pool table, which is located near the tables we were at. A few options available on the menu, and there were also some kids meal options as well. The bar had everything you would expect, although not many beer options on draught, and one of the ones they did have ran out whilst I was ordering! The food was pretty good, burger was a nice chunky one and my wife had fish and chips (and chunky chips were piled high! Unfortunately, forgot to take a picture of it!) The kids meals also came with a scoop of ice cream at the end.
