Really lovely, quaint little cafe. I had a lovely hot chocolate and my toddler had a chocolate ladybird. Ladies were very friendly!

We must have gone on a bad day. Staff were lovely Food was a bit of a let down I ordered a baked potato It came very nice but very small. Side garnish was a lot of Carrott And not much else My wife ordered a cream tea platter with egg and cress sandwich Nothing to hold sandwich together big chunks of egg no mayo. A bit crudely put together Definitely not worth the £24 With that my potato 2x teas £44 Very disappointed will not return As I said young staff very good

Simon The Pieman was one of my favourite food stops in Rye. The pies were genuinely excellent, full of flavour, comforting, and exactly what I wanted after walking around the town. The pastry was crisp, the filling was rich and satisfying, and everything tasted fresh rather than rushed or mass-produced. What I liked most was that it felt like the sort of place that adds real character to a visit. It was simple, reliable, and memorable for all the right reasons. If you are in Rye and want something hearty and genuinely tasty, this is well worth a visit. I would happily go back.
