Very disappointed with my experience at the Starbucks inside Smith's Marketplace. Quin, took my order of a medium Caramel Crunch Frappuccino as a Mother’s Day treat for my mom. She didn’t give me a receipt, I noticed she had at least 3 stuck together. But didn’t think much of it. My name was never called, and the drink just sat there until I had to go ask for it myself. As soon as I got to my car, the lid popped off because it was not secured correctly and the drink spilled everywhere. It completely ruined the surprise and the moment. I understand employees get busy, but basic care and customer service still matter. What made the situation even more frustrating was I called Starbucks Corp customer service and they told me I had to go back to the physical store because I didn’t have a receipt — even though they never gave me one in the first place. I had proof of purchase through my Apple Pay transaction, but apparently that wasn’t enough. I then called the Starbucks store manager from Smiths in Springville, Tai, and instead of understanding the situation, I was basically told it was my fault the drink spilled and that I could drive back to the store for another drink. It’s honestly crazy to me that Starbucks charges so much for overpriced coffee, yet getting a simple refund turns into wasting even more of my time having to drive back, get a receipt, and request a refund in person. The entire experience felt careless, dismissive, and like customer satisfaction was not important at all. I am never going to Starbucks again, I’ll just go support local coffee shops like Java Junkie in Springville who won’t blow you away after contacting both their customer support. I came in today around 10:40 these two girls were there and we wanted to get our usuals and the lady that helped us said she couldnt make it because it would break the machine but all we wanted was the carmel crunch and she was getting rude about it we always got it so we didnt see the problem and then she mumbled under her breath its a topping and then we went to go sit down and she went over to her co worker and started telling her and saying stuff and she was making eye contact with us so it was really just akward and uncomfortable and they just put our drinks and food there didnt say our order or name no nothing springville Starbucks do better Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The app forces you to pay with a Starbucks gift card to place a pickup order. No credit card. No Apple Pay. Just their closed, monopolized gift card system. That means loading money first just to buy a coffee. Unacceptable. This isn’t convenience it’s coercion. Locking customers into prepaid balances so Starbucks can sit on your money is predatory and lazy. Every other location manages normal payments just fine. If you can’t support basic modern transactions, don’t offer mobile ordering. Until then, I’ll spend my money somewhere that doesn’t treat customers like walking wallets.
