Stopping at Stella’s Kitchen in Rethimno was the absolute highlight of our day. After a long journey, Stella welcomed my family with the warmest smile and a genuinely beautiful soul. Even though the lunch menu wasn't quite ready when we arrived, we were more than happy to wait—and it was worth every single minute. The food was so delicious, comforting, and authentic—a true local Greek meal that has set exceptionally high expectations for the rest of our stay! Her son, who cooks in the back, and the server were both incredibly friendly and gave us honest, thoughtful recommendations about the dishes. You can truly feel the love and care in this place. This was the most amazing culinary experience I had on Crete, and that is saying something considering the depth of the island's rich and beautiful culture. Stella is a gorgeous woman who guided us through her kitchen and gave us individualized plates based on what our energy told her we would like to eat. It was a truly magical experience and if you are anywhere near Rethymno, Stella's Kitchen is a must-visit.
