3.5 stars - I didn't find myself super impressed with Stone Bowl Plus. I ordered the beef tofu soup and my friend ordered the bibimbap. I didn't find the beef tofu soup spicy at all, but that would have been okay if the soup were really flavorful. Honestly I hate to go against the grain but I thought the soup was really bland. There was an acceptable amount of beef, which I appreciated, but I would easily prefer to go to a local Korean restaurant in Berkeley over this one, especially since it's kind of a trek for me to get out here. I don't think that asking for this soup to be spicier would have helped, since it was really fundamentally lacking in flavor. My friend didn't like the bibimbap very much, rating it about 3/5 stars. There was a lot of rice but not very much meat. It's a little bit disappointing because the pictures of the food look so good. The food here is a little bit on the pricey side. For these two dishes, the bill came out to about $37. I'm used to paying about $10 for a beef tofu soup, but this might be a property of the area we were eating in. Overall, while the staff here is nice, I probably won't find myself coming back.
