We originally stopped by Ristorante STREGA for some drinks, but it quickly became one of the highlights of our stay in Rome. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Nazik, who was incredibly friendly and genuine. She gave us excellent recommendations and even let us taste a few wines before choosing a bottle. She immediately made us feel at home. Throughout the evening, all of the staff were attentive and welcoming—it honestly felt like we had been regular guests for years. Instead of ordering full meals, we decided to share several dishes so we could taste more of the menu, and every single one was great. We left having had an amazing evening. We found out that later that week, the restaurant was showing the Norway vs. England match. Although it was fully booked, the owner kindly found a way to reserve us a table. His hospitality and willingness to make us feel welcomed meant a lot. On match day, the restaurant was packed with demanding Norwegian football fans, and the poor staff barely had a moment to breathe. Despite officially working in another section of the restaurant, Nazik still found time to check on us throughout the evening and make sure we had everything we needed. That level of care and dedication is something you rarely experience, especially when nothing is expected in return. Even though Norway lost, we had an unforgettable night. The food, the atmosphere, and above all the people made this place truly special. We wish everyone at STREGA all the very best and hope to return one day. Thank you for two wonderful evenings.
