Beautifully decorated and clean establishment. The staff was welcoming and provided great recommendations. The sushi was fresh and clearly made to order. I also got the edammame and potstickers which were both equally delicious. I would definitely be back to try their other selections. Our server, Richard, was incredibly nice! The weekly specials are a great value as well as the lunch specials. The restaurant is a bit tucked away but totally worth the find. We got the yellow hello and eel-ectricity, spicy tuna a la carte, and the tuna nachos. We loved all the dishes but the tuna nachos stood out. Seemingly simply but packed with so much flavor!! I used to visit the Apex location often, and I recently checked out the new Raleigh location — it was even better than I expected. The space feels modern yet cozy, keeping that signature Sushi Suyu cleanliness and elegance. Every dish showed incredible precision and care, and you can really taste the chef’s philosophy in each bite. The staff were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming — it felt like visiting an old favorite, but in a new and upgraded setting. Whether for a date, business meeting, or just a peaceful meal, this place is perfect. It carries the same heart as Apex but adds more space, refined design, and an even higher level of detail. As someone who also works in the restaurant industry, I can confidently say Sushi Suyu Raleigh is truly a special place worth recommending.
