I have eaten at a lot of restaurants. I have never cried at one until Tairroir, where it happened twice. Chef Kai Ho's Menu Qui Lu Cai promises ten courses, and he delivered far more than that. We arrived at 6:45 pm and left at 10:45 pm, the last guests in the building. Chef Kai took photos with us and signed our menus, adding an original drawing to each of them. The dish I keep coming back to is the Taro en Purée et Kueh with Yilan duck breast, Sakura shrimp, and a 65-degree free range organic egg. The textures, the temperatures, the way the egg pulled everything together. I did not see the tears coming. I also did not feel embarrassed about them. The front of house matched the kitchen at every level. The sommelier was precise, knowledgable, and generous. The servers (all of which were BEYOND excellent) walked us through every course, how to eat it, what it was made of, and they did it like people who genuinely wanted to be there. I asked questions and got to know them and they treated me like a friend rather than a customer. It was mutual. The woman at the front desk set the tone for the entire evening before we ever sat down. I am not an adventurous eater. However, after one course, I trusted Chef Kai completely. I devoured everything he put in front of me. I have eaten a lot of food made by a lot of people. I have never eaten food that tasted like love until this meal. I do not know how else to say it. Two people, full wine pairing per course, a bottle of non-alcoholic wine, and four hours at that table: $925 USD plus gratuity. It was worth every single penny. And after eating that meal? I'd pay double to eat it again. It is, hands down, the best meal I have ever had and most likely will ever have again. I am already planning a reason to go back to Taipei for it! The wine list is disappointing. We could pay more so please change your wine list. Sommelier attitude was not it. Subtly shaming the guest I brought when my guest asked him to suggest and pair, he actually scoffed. It made the atmosphere super awkward. He seems lack of knowledge on the wine he couldn't explain what notes and grapes in the bottle when I inquired. The food was ok, good taste but nothing exceptional. I thought I was dining at a regular restaurant. Nothing special and I have dined in several 1 to 3 stars michelin restaurant this is the most boring one. Even 1 star michelin is better. I feel bad for your waitress. They are most lovely and very accommodating that's why I'm adding another star for them. They make us feel comfy and welcoming. They actually noted on small details and make us feel at ease. Meal type: Dinner Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Great experience for dinning, beyond creative preparation of each dish, the design and concept of those dishes were well explained by the service lady. We have been tasting many Michelin-star restaurants, and this one is definitely qualified in the top tier Meal type: Lunch Price per person: NT$2,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
