I travelled 20 minutes by taxi from my hotel in Centro, as I could not find any decent food options locally - which is a complete disappointment from Montevideo! I searched Google maps, and this restaurant looked like it could be the right spot for me, with a lot of good reviews. I am happy I went now. The food was wonderful - I had gyoza for starters, duck confit for main course, and a desert (i forgot what it was called). The best dish was the duck confit (although they were all good). The duck skin was crispy, and the meat inside was nice and tender. A special mention also goes to the 2 bread basket sauces which come. I never had anything so good before with the bread basket as what I had here. Final special mention goes to Carlos the waiter, who spoke to me in wonderful English, and was the perfect host. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Montevideo. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I have to say that the service was excellent, My mushroom risotto was good, a bit dry to my liking but the flavors was very good ! however the rabbit was terrible, my husband wasn’t able to eat it because It was full of little bones , a danger to eat, after 1 ,2,3 bites he did not eat anymore and left in the plate, the waitress was lovely to offer replacement but at that point my husband was already turned off. I’d say I would definitely come back for a risotto but maybe not for the rabbit. Price per person: $1,400–1,600 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I’ve been desperately searching for Indian food in town, and Tandory turned out to be the only place offering a fusion-style Indian menu—and what a pleasant surprise it was. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the food truly impressed me. I had a hearty stew that was full of flavor and depth, and my friend ordered the curry shrimp, which was equally delicious. While the flavors aren’t traditionally Indian, they bring something new and exciting to the table—a fresh take that still satisfies the craving for curry but with a twist that actually works.
