Lovely authentic Haitian restaurant is a delightful addition to the Portland culinary scene. We went there on a date night and had the TapTap appetizer with shrimp in fried plantain cups, Salad Rouj, and the national dish with goat meat (pork is also available) plus cocktails. Everything was delicious! Service was friendly and fast for a sit-down restaurant. Prices are reasonable. This is the kind of place that I would happily return to over and over. Highly recommending that you try it. The restaurant was beautiful!. The food!? OMG a 10 star if I could. Soo sooo good. Highly recommend. My only issue was that the restaurant was not full (maybe 3 other small tables) and the food took over an hour to pre prepare and served. Between the appetizer and the main course it was well over 30 minutes. Ended up being there closer to 2 hours. Wife and I saw a Instagram reel from Travel Po,rtland about TapTap PDX, so we visited it. The drinks were refreshing and so flavorful! There is mocktail options too, and service was great filling up and checking in. The food, delicious as we never had Haitian food, and now we're fans! The Mama Creole Baked Chicken was so delicious, and putting the rice in the juices of the chicken dish was a great combination! The Diri Djondjon with goat is now one of my favorite dishes, and we will be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
