Our Sunday afternoon dinner at Tejas Steakhouse & Saloon was an excellent experience from start to finish. One of the best times to visit is Sunday afternoon—easy parking, relaxed atmosphere, and no wait for a table, which made the visit even better. Our waitress Olivia was absolutely on the job. She greeted us immediately and handled both bartender and server duties flawlessly. Friendly, attentive, and efficient—she truly stood out and made the experience memorable. We started with house drinks, and they were perfect: •   El Vaquero Old Fashioned – perfectly balanced •   Prickly Pear Margarita – refreshing and well made •   Beer on tap – served ice cold We skipped the appetizers but enjoyed the house biscuits, which were a great start to the meal. Our table of four ordered the K.C. Steaks for two with four sides, and the highlight was the steak medallions. The plate came with eight medallions, each cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Great food, great service, and an easygoing atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.

This location is promoted and included in the Go City San Antonio pass which we purchased. We're from Las Vegas. We attempted to use our passes and received the following response. "Hi David! Unfortunately, we are sold out for tonight's rodeo. Becca Roach Tejas Rodeo Company" Here's the problem. That was 100% a lie. I would never have known how big a lie, except that I booked a reservation at the steakhouse. When we arrived, everywhere we went there were employees selling tickets. So, we were there, there were stacks tickets/wristbands, we had passes with tickets which we had already paid for, but...we could not use ours. I pointed out Ms. Roach's lie to her in live time while there so she'd have an opportunity to correct their error. Instead, she chose to lie again saying, "We are sold out for tonight’s event. However, we do hold back a limited number of tickets for our rodeo contestants and their families, which is standard practice." Now, in the rest of the world, contestants don't have to buy a ticket for themselves, nor do they have to buy tickets for those with them, nor are their tickets released. In the rest of the world, competitors are gifted a few tickets. In the rest of the world, an honest person in management, unlike the lazy liar named Becca Roach would have said, "Oh we are already full but we always have extra tickets which you can purchased first come, first serve and you can show up and get in with your pass." I know Vegas business. I know Vegas hospitality. Why wouldn't they do this? It's very simple. Money. We have already paid them for our tickets at $30 each, but they wanted to resell our tickets to someone else or force us to repurchase them for $40 each at their gate. This kind of greed is common in narcissistic, lazy, disconnected managers or their underlings like Ms. Roach. They will never apologize. They will never admit any guilt. They will never change. They simply double-down on their rationalizations for their lies and greed. I'm sure, the management will see this and maybe they'll even respond here, but they will never be able to make Becca's behavior make sense. Does she make these things up on her own? Is she told to behave this way? She had no title for herself in her emails. Please, dear management, don't respond here on Google with another dishonest rationalization. Negative feedback is the breakfast of champions. Just change. Use my advice, change. I'm excellent at providing analysis and counsel. You can look me up. It's too bad because the employees and food were excellent. I imagine the employees who know Ms. Roach or the people over her, know about the lies and greed, but they will be fired if they say anything. Bottomline summary: We bought tickets, we were there, there were people all over selling tickets, but we couldn't use ours. I'll also be filing a complaint against you with Go City San Antonio for your misconduct, dishonesty, and abuse of Go City customers. Shame, shame, everybody knows your name. I'll end my review as Ms. Roach chose to condescend to me after lying to me repeatedly. Merry Christmas!

This particular rodeo performance was sold out in advance. Your inquiry about using Go City passes came at approximately 1:55 PM on the day of the event, after we had already reached capacity. Once a performance is sold out, we are unable to admit additional guests, regardless of ticket source, including third-party passes such as Go City. This is clearly noted on the Go City website, which explains that reservations are required in advance since the rodeo does sell out.Regarding what you saw onsite, our gate staff does have stacks of wristbands because wristbands are issued after tickets are scanned. The presence of wristbands at admission points does not indicate that tickets remain available for sale. Additionally, we would also like to clarify a point referenced in your review regarding admissions held for rodeo contestants. Contestants and their immediate family members are provided admission as part of participating in our open rodeo. Because entries occur both in advance and on the day of the event, we must hold a limited number of tickets to accommodate competitors and their families. These admissions are not sold to them. Our employee explained this via email with no mention that we sold these tickets to them. This is standard practice in rodeo operations and ensures we can properly host the athletes who make the event possible. It is also important to clarify that Tejas Rodeo Company does not receive payment from Go City unless a pass is successfully redeemed onsite so we had not received any type of payment for admission when we shared we were sold out and therefore couldn’t have “resold” your ticket to someone else because you never had a ticket as you stated. We also want to address the comments directed toward our team member. She has been with Tejas Rodeo Company for over 15 years and is highly respected for her professionalism and integrity. While we regret that the explanation provided did not meet your expectations, there was no intent to mislead or deceive. We understand that this situation was disappointing. Our goal in communicating that the event was sold out was to prevent guests from making the trip only to be turned away at the gate. Any last-minute availability we may have can fluctuate for several reasons, is never guaranteed and cannot be relied upon for voucher redemption. We appreciate your kind words about our staff and food, and we are sorry this experience overshadowed your visit. We remain committed to transparency, fairness, and providing a positive experience for all guests.
