A small little beer tasting room nestled between inexpensive restaurants, The Brewers Tap Room offers a pleasant assortment of local and national microbrews at a very reasonable price. Service is friendly and the staff seemed knowledgable. While the view is not much to look at (it is, after all, in a strip mall set on a major thoroughfare), it is pleasant and lively. There is a long bar that faces the parking lot with windows that can be completely opened and several tables out front. Two caveats: 1. BTR does cater to a slightly older crowd, as it is nestled in the heart of residential New Encinitas. While all are welcome, of course, its patrons are generally in a 30+ demographic. 2. They serve no food, which is not entirely uncommon for tasting rooms. But you are welcome to bring in food from any of the surrounding restaurants (Los Tacos [highly recommended], Luna Grill and The Habit are in this particular mall).
