Only had lunch here. Didn't stay. But the Sunday roasts were amazing. Delicious food and generous portions at a very reasonable price.

I'll start with the positives: Kemerton itself is a pretty little village, with the Crown nestled at the very heart of it. My room was large, the bed comfy and the WiFi connection excellent - great for me, as I was staying here on business. Here though, the good news ends. I arrived just before 4pm and was told my room was not ready. Fair enough, but I had to wait around 40 minutes in the pub whilst the room was prepared and whilst I was offered a drink, I had to pay for it. A complimentary offering would have been nice! While I wited, a couple of men sat at the bar having a very loud conversation over a video call, and they certainly enjoyed dropping the 'F' bomb every thirty seconds or so. Nobody asked them to calm it down. I asked what time they start serving food, and was told ''Ah...we don't normally serve food on a Monday". Shame their website contradicts this. They suggested I order a takeaway instead. Then on to the room: the bedroom itself was fine, as I have mentioned, but the light above the sink in the bathroom didn't work, there was a bulb blown over the shower and worst of all, the shower itself was scalding hot and could not be turned down, making it unsuable. If my stay had only encountered a few of these issues, then I wouldn't bother writing a negative review, but all together, they provided a rather dissapointing experience. I'd like to think that they have the ability to do better. Service: 2

The food at The Crown Inn is excellent, as is not only the service but also the outstanding compassion of the staff who work there. They were incredibly understanding of my requirements and their generosity and service with a smile is a breath of fresh air. During these unprecedented times they have created miles of smiles on my part and I’m sure many others in providing an outstanding service to us all. Keep well guys, you are appreciated and may your custom prosper even more when all this is over. You deserve it. THANK YOU?
