Visited The Duchess on 06-09-26 a Tuesday night at 6:30 with a reservation, it was not crowded but was quite noisy. As the evening went on it filled up with a few large parties and it was VERY noisy to where I couldn't even hear my friend across the table. The waitstaff was very friendly and descriptive about the items on the menu. The menu changes frequently and it was not very interesting when we visited. Started with the Garlic Chili Cucumber Salad which was nothing more than a dish of pickles. It was described as having crispy shallots which I thought would be fried but no, they were just fresh, they were crisp but that was a let down. The best part of the dish was the crispy fried garlic that was a delicious element to the pickled cucumber. My decaf was served cold and a replacement was graciously brought out. Then for dinner, the menu again was quite lacking. My choice was a smash burger and I never order a burger, nothing special and served on a hamburger bun, just ok. The Taro chips that came with the burger were delicious and lightly salted. My friend got the Tony Foreman's Fish Business and it turned out to be just a rice bowl with fish on it as described by the waiter. That was a big let down too because it was such a simple dish with nothing special in it. My bill with no drinks was $34. After eating only half of my burger we packed up and went across the street to The Food Market where we had drinks at the bar and a wonderful Brown Sugar Port Belly appetizer. Will not be returning to The Duchess. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Josie, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations. While we're pleased you enjoyed the hospitality and attentiveness of our team, we're very disappointed to hear that the food and overall experience fell short. The dishes you mentioned are among our most popular and are typically very well-loved by our guests, which makes it especially disappointing to hear that they did not resonate with you. We understand that every guest's tastes and expectations are different, and we're sorry we missed the mark during your visit. Should you decide to visit us again, both Tony and Chef Kiko would be delighted to say hello in person and ensure you have a memorable visit.

This restaurant delivers an absolutely exceptional dining experience. The food was both creative and executed flawlessly, marking my first visit a memorable experience that guarantees a swift return. The pork belly was particularly memorable, and the duck preparation was nothing short of spectacular. The service was top-notch—attentive and professional. While I abstained from drinking, my companions unanimously agreed the cocktails were super creative and excellent. This spot comes highly recommended. Thank you for taking the time to share this thoughtful note. We’re so glad your first visit was memorable and that both the pork belly and duck stood out, along with the service and overall experience. We also really appreciate you mentioning the cocktails—even without partaking, it’s great to hear your companions enjoyed them. On your next visit, we’d love for you to try our mocktails as well; they’re crafted with the same attention to creativity and balance as our cocktails, just in a zero-proof format. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
