Service was slow. Waiter didn't realize he was assigned to our table. Water and drinks were slow, and several reminders were needed before they arrive. The pumpkin White Russian tasted liked watered down coffee, it was the only item removed from the bill. Waiter needed step by step instructions for service. Had to ask for bread service to be provided and arrived with no plates or butter. Orders a specific dinner salad and was initially served a side salad. My Roasted Goat Cheese Salad didn't arrive until my significant other was half way done with his room temperature , which no one asked to see if it was cooked properly. Root veggies were also cold. Staff was aware of the all the meal concerns. The manager was in the building but never came to address any of the concerns. This $210 dinner for two went in the record books as being the most miserable ever.

First time experience, passing through on our way home to Michigan. Based on reviews and a friends recommendation, we decided to give The Hatchery a try. We were not disappointed. Our server was friendly and efficient. There were four in our party, we all ate different entrees, from walleye, to lobster, to filet mignon, to a pork tenderloin. Every meal was delicious. I would recommend making reservations, especially on Saturday evening, as we walked in at the 5:00 opening and was told there were only two open tables left. We felt fortunate to get a table. We’d have no problem making another road trip to dine at The Hatchery.
