We ordered the tteokbokki, kimchi, pork dumplings, and a bulgogi bowl, but the real standouts for me were the bulgogi kimbap and the spicy cucumber salad, I absolutely loved them! I’m so happy I found this place in Spring because now I can satisfy my Korean food cravings without having to drive all the way to Asiatown. Highly recommend! Ordered the spicy fish cake kimbap and spicy pork belly kimbap. This REALLY hit the spot and was exactly what I needed. Very delicious and I had to restrain myself from inhaling it all too fast. Very lovely space, friendly service. Will definitely be returning. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you’ve been missing Jiggae, the little spot by the train tracks that closed during the overpass construction, you’ll be glad to know it’s found new life as The Kimbap. Some of the beloved classics remain—like the kimchi fried rice and veggie pancakes (my personal favorites)—but the new menu now highlights several kimbap varieties that fit right in. The space is as cozy as ever, with only about four 4-person tables, so expect it to fill up quickly. On my visit, a steady stream of people came in for takeout, which seems to be a big part of their business. Fortunately, their kimchi fried rice is still that perfect balance of spice and tang, exactly the kind of dish I sometimes crave. The veggie pancakes just the way I remembered. It’s not fancy dining. I’m just so glad they reopened.
