Casual dress fun atmosphere friendly staff. Food was prepared hot and fresh delivered to our table took a friend for his birthday. Lunch time no wait he had the jambalaya said it was very good with plenty of spicy. I tried the fried shrimp and catfish it was tasty and enough for an average eater I had some left over. I enjoyed the gumbo and fried okra. I ordered him the birthday beignet he said it was one of the better ones he has had. Over all not a bad lunch place. Tried for the first time, overpriced for portion size. My husband ordered the Cajun classic trio and all the bowls are super small and served with 1 pc of bread sliced into 3. No extra breads are given, so he ordered another bread basket. Gator bites are good but for the price and portion size, it’s really expensive. I ordered cat touffee large and it’s not that bad of a portion and it has 2 catfish served with rice under and bread, if I ordered small then I don’t think I’ll get full. Overall experience is okay. ‍ Foodie post alert here!!! ‍ So, the wife and I went out for a date night dinner and decided to go and try out The Lost Cajun at FM 646 in League City (in the strip behind Chik-Fil-A)...! It has been there for a while now, and we have been wanting to try it out, but just never had the chance. Well, I'm glad that we went because their food was really good!  They started out by bringing us a little serving board with 6 little cup samples of some of their dishes. Our board had the Seafood gumbo, Chicken and sausage gumbo, Jambalaya, Lobster bisque, Red beans and rice, and Crawfish etouffee. They were all very tasty, and we liked the little sample before buying deal. For appetizers, we got the fried boudin balls and zydeco shrimp. The boudin balls had a nice crunchy crust, stuffed with hot boudin and came with their cajun sauce dip, which had a very nice flavor. The zydeco shrimp was little fried shrimps that had a nice flavored sauce that they were tossed in. I liked them dipped in that cajun sauce that came with the boudin balls.  For our meals, we decided to go with the Shrimp and grits, the Cat-toufee, and a cup of Seafood gumbo. Maaannnn, them dishes were hittin'...!!! The Shrimp were grilled nicely, and the grits were soooo creamy and flavorful that I could've just kept eating them spoonful by spoonful!  The Cat-touffe had catfish that had a great crispy fried coating and was cooked perfectly, and the crawfish etouffee it was covered in DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! It came on top of rice, and had some little garlic bread squares that accompanied the dish well. That seafood gumbo was very flavorful, and was a nice little sidecar to our dishes...! We didn't get a full bowl because of all the other food we ordered, but that sample board had us wanting more! We ordered a hurricane drink and it was good, but I didn't get a pic of that because I was too focused on that grub, mayne...!!! We also ordered the beignets for dessert, and I guess that they were exactly what beignets are supposed to taste like? ‍ Lol!!!   Sorry Andrew Gates... I say this because I'm a) Hispanic and b) from Texas, so for those who know.. what are sopapillas??? Beignets with honey, right...??? ‍‍‍ I mean, minus the honey factor, they came out hot and fresh, nicely coated with powdered sugar, and had a nice crunch to them. I say this because they do not have honey there, and I guess it is a "Cardinal sin" to ask for it to put on your beignets (*cough* *cough* .. sopapillas! LMMAO! ) I'm just saying this to tell you to sneak your own honey in there if you decide to order the beignets, in case you are like me... but they were very good! All in all, we are definitely planning to go back there soon! And, our waitress, Shayn, gave us excellent service, as she was very attentive and friendly! Go and give this place a try if you are looking for some good cajun food, and like saving a little dough (if you are a BAHFL card holder.. 10% off orders of groups of four!) Thanks, Jennifer Lopez Fuller! Stay hungry and adventurous...!!!
