Bummed that this location will be closing in a few weeks. Good southern BBQ at a reasonable price. Good meat selections and sides.

2.5 stars. Underwhelming. Went to the Q Shack hoping for a good lunch. I usually pack for work but wanted to live a little. I got a turkey sandwich with two sides. The turkey was dry which was really disappointing it also didn't have a smokey flavor to it. There are some other bbq locations in Raleigh that do turkey really well. Maybe this was a fluke for the Q shack. Also, I am wondering if they smoke the meat onsite in real smokers. I didn't see or smell any smokers. I wasn't a fan of the white bread that they use for sandwiches. Maybe they could upgrade to some TX toast or something.

Vinegar based sauce was good.

Mac & cheese was okay: it had an aromatic after flavor to it like that of a flower or an essential oil or smelly lotion. Maybe it was a flavor coming from the cracked pepper they put in it.

hush puppies were great. The atmosphere and service was nice. Cashier was friendly staff seemed to get along well with each other.
