If you look through the visitors' comments, the staff is good at this restaurant. Fine service is something clients like here. Average prices are to be expected at The Lakeside Restaurant. We’d booked to eat here on our first night for convenience but it was pretty empty when we arrived. We were told a 40 minute wait for food despite the few diners present. When the food eventually arrived the burgers looked as though they had been cooked for 40 minutes - very thin, small and blackened. Due to the wait we had already had they weren’t sent back. The pizzas were ok but nothing special. We were staying on site for the week and it would have been convenient to eat here on other nights, but due to the quality of the food and the slow service we ended up having to drive elsewhere and go and pick up takeaways. Relaxing atmosphere. We ordered and were warned about a delay as only one chef on duty. Meal arrived early. Was hot and ample for our hunger. Waiting staff were attentive, nothing too much trouble. Would eat here again Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes
