We've been going to rathmullan in donegal since covid . Waterside opened back up a couple of years ago and its very welcome addition. Food is simple but done very well not at all pretentious or trying to hard. Seems to be all young local staff and they are really great and friendly . Check on you a few times but not in your face. If your in the area its a must visit.

Waited an hour to be seated and order ,food was average but the biggest problem is a young waitress with absolutely no customer service skills ,her i dont care attitude was the worst i ever experienced ,main course near finished when the side appeared an she said "i didnt know he was finished "no apology of any sort given . Go somewhere else for probably less money an definitely better service ,when i asked to speak to a manager or supervisor another older member said "theres no one here and they are entitled to a day off " again said in a im not interested tone . Service: 1

⸻ Had a really pleasant experience at the Waters Edge Restaurant. The setting is genuinely stunning, beautiful location with great views that really add to the whole atmosphere. Food-wise, everything was spot on. I went for the mussels and the double smash burger, both of which were excellent. My wife had the chicken curry and my mother-in-law went for the fish and chips, all very well received and no complaints across the table. Overall, we were very satisfied and would happily return. The only small point would be that the service, while friendly, could be a little slicker to really match the quality of the food and setting. That said, a very enjoyable visit and definitely one we’d recommend. Service: 5
