First time here and what a delight. Refreshingly interesting restaurant amongst a myriad of "run of the mill" boring Brighton options. Small but perfect menu, food was delightful, atmosphere was easy and relaxed. Big love to Charlotte, she was incredible, exactly the right amount of attention, made sure we had everything we needed and that we had a great experience, a real professional and so so lovely. Charlie has to be mentioned, thanks for the lil shots at the end of the night, rounded off a perfect evening. A big thank you from us Winkle, we'll definitely be making a pest of ourselves very soon! x Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a lovely experience at The Winkle a few weeks ago. We were lucky enough to get a table upstairs by the huge window overlooking the seafront which made for a stunning view. The standout dishes were from the specials menu - the giant prawns, lobster, and brill were all exceptional. Knowing everything was freshly caught by a local fisherman made it even better. The wine list was also excellent. We tried both the orange wine and the chilled red, and loved them. A special mention has to go to the owners, whose warmth and hospitality made the evening truly memorable. They were incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived, took the time to chat with us, and created such a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Their genuine passion for both the restaurant and their guests shines through and adds something really special to the overall experience. We’ll absolutely be back and would highly recommend. Food was really well done and the service was exceptional. Charlie waited on us and was informative, attentive and a great conversationalist to boot! The star off for atmosphere is because the patio is unfortunately close to a seaside karaoke establishment and you’re forced to listen to people slaughtering 90s pop during dinner. Not Winkles fault! I’d go back for sure! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
