I had Gyoza, Avocado rolls, and shrimp dumplings. The flavor of all three was balanced and present, and all courses were at a perfect temperature. Staffing was especially pleasant, fast, friendly, and very responsive! I could not have asked for a better meal and experience! We had an excellent takeout experience from Tokyo Restaurant in Rice Lake! Even though we enjoyed the food at home instead of dining in, everything was packaged so carefully and thoughtfully. Nothing spilled, everything stayed fresh, and the presentation still looked great when we opened it. The flavors absolutely held up — you could tell everything was freshly made. The pork gyoza dumplings were delicious, perfectly cooked with great flavor. Our chicken dishes were tender and tasty, and the fried rice (we ordered it without vegetables) was exactly what we hoped for. The plain lo mein was simple and comforting, and the chicken katsu was a big hit with our kid — crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It’s not always easy for takeout to feel like a full restaurant-quality meal, but Tokyo Restaurant nailed it. We’ll definitely be back!
