A place to waste more than an hour for a cheese sandwich with fruits and something else. The man is kind, hence his business, he puts you according to whether he asks you if you like this or that, in the end you end up taking what he wants. There are people who leave with a satisfaction that makes them leave tips worth more than the purchase, but I tried two and they didn't seem like that much to me. Tonton Garby in Brussels is a must-visit! Specializing in sandwiches, tiramisu, fruit shakes, and soups, their motto is "It's worth the wait." And wait we did, over 2 hours in the queue! For about an hour, we kept seeing the line enter the shop but no one was coming out. I started to wonder if the owner was reading people's palms to determine their sandwich future. It takes about 15-20 minutes for each person's food to be prepared, not because it takes long to make, but because the owner, who speaks four languages, spends time getting to know each customer. He customizes every sandwich to perfection, making them the best sandwiches in the world. When he called our dad "Papá," I half-expected him to offer us a spot at the family dinner table!At the end of the day, he wouldn't let us order a sandwich to go because he wanted to make sure he had enough bread for the rest of the queue.
