I was visiting from Canada and craving attiéké, so I decided to check out this place. We were greeted by one of the owners, who was pleasant the entire time we were there. The food portions were impressive, and everything we ordered was amazing. After we finished our meal, we talked with her some more and found out they had just opened. It was an all-around amazing experience. I’ll definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Visiting that restaurant was one of the best experiences of my life, which led me to keep going back. The staff was extremely professional and respectful, treating you with love, joy, warmth, and kindness. They welcomed everyone with the same energy. I love that so much. They are about business. I have been going to a lot of African restaurants and have never gotten that much service, kindness, acknowledgment, and joy. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. Now, let's talk about the FOOD, Mann, the food was delicious, every single one of them that I tasted. The food presentation was also an A+. That Truuf-Food restaurant is an upscale eatery in a small place. They left me licking all 5 of my fingers. Lastly, you get served at your table. They have met my expectations, and I will continue to visit whenever I am in the area. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: The chef will do as requested.

Truuf Food was my first experience with West African food. It's now the baseline for all my experiences with food from the region. I went with the Whole Grilled Fish & Jollof and a side of plantains. When I first looked at the menu, I'll be honest, the prices gave me a little pause. That feeling lasted right up until my plate hit the table. After that, I forgot all about it. I'm a big guy. I eat a lot. I show up hungry, left full, and still got home with enough for a second meal. That almost never happens with me. And don’t even get me started on the flavors! What made the night even better was getting to spend time with the people behind it all. After I finished eating, I ended up chatting with the chef/ owners, a brother and sister duo who work full time on top of running this restaurant. You could feel how much this place means to them, and that kind of passion has a way of coming through in the food. They've only been open since mid-March, so they're still finding their footing, but if these first few weeks are any indication, I think Truuf Food is going to be something really special. I'm already looking forward to going back and watching them grow into something special. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
