I was visiting Tijuana over the weekend and, as so many visitors and tourists before me, was in amazement by the growth and development of this city (which is just 20 minutes from my home in downtown San Diego). I stumbled upon Voro Y Raiz completely haphazhardly, checking Yelp to see if there were any restaurants open for a late breakfast. I was BLOWN AWAY. The food here is nothing short of gourmet. The owners (one of them the head chef) were extremely friendly, reviewing the menu and making solid recommendations. The Chilaquiles are to die for. The food, along with the space and kitchen (which you can peer into) was clean and fresh. I am bookmarking this spot and telling all my friends in San Diego to head over for breakfast or lunch. I'll be coming back for sure!
