We had a great dining experience at Veda Restaurant. The Mango Lassi was excellent (5/5), and the vegetable soup was full of flavor with a pleasant, aromatic spice rather than just heat. The dahi kebab came as a serving of 3 pieces. While I wish the portion was a bit larger, the taste was outstanding, with subtle cardamom and black pepper notes wrapped in a crispy, savory crust. For the mains, we ordered Palak Paneer and Chicken Lababdar, both served with rice. The portions were generous and more than enough for the three of us. We also tried the garlic naan and chili cilantro naan, which were the only items that didn't quite meet the same standard as the rest of the meal. Overall, the food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and we'd definitely come back. Just hope to see the naan improve next time! Meal type: Dinner

Great ambience, clean rest rooms, great location- however extremely poor quality food preparation (vegetarian), disappointing for vegetarians. Buffett reasonable price, however, absolutely no taste! Didn’t feel the items are freshly made. Looks like the owner, whoever, the person is, doesn’t seem to invest in enough staff or cutlery, as the poor service person, only one has to do all the work, and could not fulfill our request to provide a new set of cutlery after the snack. Also the cutlery was so heavy, they keep falling in the floor. Poor choice! The management needs to get their act together, if they like to stay in business or thrive. Looks like they get enough customers and they don’t feel the need to focus on customer service! Wish Veda all the success as they can easily fix the flaws if they are enough! If you want to host a festive meal at an Indian restaurant in Philadelphia, look no further than Veda - Modern Indian Bistro. We just hosted a rehearsal dinner for about 40 guests and we’re very pleased with the results. Kiran, the Assistant General Manager, was professional, yet she had that personal touch. She took care of all the menu details and paid extra special attention to those with food allergies, who later said no other restaurant, especially with such a large crowd, has been so careful with their dietary needs. Veda has a fabulous drinks menu that helped set the tone for a convivial get together. The space we used had a discreet and pretty curtain to separate our crowd from the general public at the restaurant. The staff was attentive and took great care of us. Thank you Kiran and Veda staff for helping us celebrate a great evening!
