Service was extremely slow. Customers that came in after us, was served and left before we got our waitress to bring us the check. ‘Free pie’ had one cherry in each of our slices. The remainder was just cherry filling. Very disappointing. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Ate breakfast early Sunday morning. Found hair on one french toast, ate the other two pieces. Country fried steak skillet, steak was size of silver dollar but decent taste. We were never checked on with only 5 other people in the place so we didn't point it out. I usually just don't go back to a place after this but this was the topper that caused this review... when checking out you always get asked "how was everything?" to which I said "not well". Instead of asking why they just said "sorry". That was poor customer service the owner should know about. I did leave a tip....maybe shouldn't have. With delicious food, quick service, and prices that aren't wildly out of line, this is a great spot to have breakfast or lunch! Also, and this may not be the reason that you go to Village Inn necessarily, but if you're a burger and Fry person, do not sleep on what they got going on here! Their burgers are phenomenal, and the fries are cooked in beef tallow, which gives them a flavor that you don't get most places. Definitely check it out!
