Excellent and probably best what Baltics has. Expect also pay for it.
We ate here yesterday, 14/12. Eating was okey even though we were expecting better. Presentation of the food was a little bit to much and the wine was far to to to much. ”Shout up and serve the wine”!Peter
Vincents is a restaurant that takes gastronomy to the next level in a relaxed yet formal atmosphere with staff that give a welcoming feeling from the moment you enter. I wanted to try the best food Latvia has to offer, so Vincents seemed like the perfect place for me. Going with the tasting menu was the ideal way to enjoy the full range of what they can do. The service was superb, the waiters kept the food and wine flowing at a steady pace, describing the ingredients and cooking style of every dish. After the amazing amuse bouche came the "Hailstorm" a superb dish of avocado cannelloni with snow crab, paprika, yogurt lime dressing. Then the wild salmon tartare with yuzu ponzu sauce, traditional accompaniments and fresh wasabi was pleasing to all the senses. The steamed langoustines on the rocks with langoustine bique, rose wine and oregano was as delicious as it was beautiful. The flamed scallops in its shell with hollandaise sauce, Mottra black caviar, kombu bonito was a wonderful way to showcase the scallop and I really loved this dish. The anti-grill sorbet was next on the menu and it was made on a frozen grill at the table, definitely fun to watch. The veal sweetbreads with young parsnips, morel mushrooms and Madeira sauce was unlike any other sweetbreads I have tried before and I wanted more and more. Then the Summer berry Symphony with Latvian strawberry sorbet, wild strawberries, blueberries, black and red currants, gooseberry sparkling wine was an absolute delight.Each dish was basically perfect! I thought the meal couldn’t get any better, but the Pandora's box if Vincents handmade Amedei chocolates was a sweet and excellent finale.
