First night in Barcelona we asked for a recommendation at our hotel. The front desk clerk told us this is her favorite. We went early (7pm) and it was outstanding. Our waiter helped us pick a few items as well as dessert. Definitely give it a go!
Such a great tapas spot! It can get crowded around early dinner and the bar area is popping later but the space is big. The host takes your name down and then calls out when they're ready. We ordered the green beans and prawns (AMAZING!!), potato & mushrooms (comes out layered kind of and is sweet), Brie and jamugo sandwich (simple but still so good), cod with honey (and cheese and tomatoes it's so sweet and good), beef (perfectly cooked) on bread, squid and mushroom lasagna (layered mushroom squid and prawns), and the bread pudding for dessert (we watched them making it all night so had to try it and it was worth it!!). Honestly we probably ordered too much for two people but we finished it all so I wouldn't say you can't do it... For the quality and quantity of food we got I think it was a great price too (64 euros). It was a mix of tourists and locals and the menu is in Catalonia, Spanish, and English so everyone feels comfortable. Service was good and all of the food was phenom. I would definitely recommend stopping by!!
First tapas place we hit up in Barcelona. Presentation was straight forward and well executed, tastes were even better. Sitting outside was the best choice - lots of fun people watching. We split a pitcher of tangy and strong sangria, calamari, blistered shishito peppers, patatas bravas, a beef tenderloin baguette, and a caprese salad. The best was hands down the peppers. Salty, flash fried, not overly seedy, and the least expensive. Thanks for a great first impression, Vinitus!
