I had been wanting to try WaFire grill after seeing some good reviews. I think they ate at a different restaurant. The windows are very dirty, and the windowsills are very dirty - we were sitting in the window at an outdoor table brought inside, so we were right next to it. And when I went to pay, the kitchen looked very dirty also, food on the floor, which, given we were in at 6pm, was not a good sign. The whole place needs a deep clean. And then the food was pretty ordinary. The loaded hummus with lamb had about a quarter of a cup of cooked lamb in top, hardly loaded unfortunately, but it was nice enough, and the fried bread was nice and crunchy. We both ordered different versions of what was described as a chicken shish from the grill. What we got were generous servings of lumps of cooked chicken reheated that had certainly never been on a shish skewer - no skewer holes and they were only just warmed through. We actually sent one meal back as it was not hot enough and although promised a replacement pretty sure it was the same plate with the meat tossed on the hotplate again. It was pretty dry. The pickled vegetables were mostly carrots, tasty enough, but the garlic sauce was not quite right. So, bit sad really. Couldn’t wait to pay and get out unfortunately.
