This is a really small spot. There was only one waiter handling everything—hosting, taking orders, and serving tables—but he was friendly, personable, professional, and did an excellent job keeping up with the demands of the restaurant. We ordered the oxtail meal, which came with cabbage, plantains, and rice and peas. The rice and peas had good flavor, although the texture wasn’t quite what I’d expect from traditional Jamaican rice and peas. The cabbage was okay, and the plantains were actually very good. Now, for the oxtail. The portions were generous, with large, meaty pieces that were tender and pretty good. I honestly have no complaints about the oxtail. The drinks were super good. The strawberry lemonade was delicious, and the mango juice was amazing—you could taste the fresh mango in every sip. The blueberry ginger drink was also excellent and worth trying. For such a small restaurant with one person managing both the front of house and table service, the service was impressive. The waiter stayed on top of everything and made the experience enjoyable. I would definitely return. It’s a cute spot with good food, great drinks (bring your own rum), and attentive service. Next time, I’d likely try the oxtail beef patties and the rasta pasta. An Incredible Experience from Start to Finish! Waiting to Oxtail is an absolute gem in Baltimore! The food was flavorful and comforting — exactly what you’d hope for from a place with “oxtail” in the name. Every bite tasted like home-cooked perfection. But the real standout of the night was our waiter, Benu. His service was exceptional — attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He made great recommendations, checked in at all the right times, and genuinely made us feel welcomed and appreciated as guests. It’s rare to find someone who goes above and beyond with such a positive attitude, but Benu did just that! If you’re in Baltimore and craving amazing Caribbean cuisine with top-tier hospitality, don’t miss Waiting to Oxtail. And definitely ask for Benu! ️. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
