I wanted to fall in love with this place so badly but between the dimly lite dining space and plates that seemed to be lacking in flavor (I actually asked our waiter for salt and pepper for my main course) I just couldn't fully get on the Weary Traveler Freehouse Bandwagon. I could, however, totally appreciate the quirky, hostel vibes the décor was giving off and was very glad to see each chair and table fully occupied. Our server was nice - had a hard time hearing each other over the music but all order fopaux were avoided. I ordered the Mulligatawny - no idea how to pronounce it properly lol I added tofu. We shared a south of the boarder snack plate too and it fell flat. Maybe if the food tasted fresher and the main meal hotted with more punchy flavors like the menu seemed to hint at, then I'd rate this place higher. I'll also mention we grabbed dinner here - they are also open for brunch. We didn't make a reservation (unsure if they take those in advance) and waited about 10 mins before our party of 4 was seated. Not bad at all!
