Very comfortable room. Only suggestion is to have some illumination at the slot where the key card has to be inserted to activate the room lights. At night, with no light in the room, it’s very hard to find that slot Front desk staff were vary helpful and friendly

We had a comfortable stay at the Hotel, especially after an initial issue with our room was resolved. The location is excellent within walking distance of Riga Old Town, while the bus station is only around 5 minutes away, so we didn’t need to use public transport much. A special mention to Henry, who was absolutely wonderful. Our first room was in the new building and was an attic room with several issues, however we raised these with Henry, who listened carefully, spoke to the manager and arranged another room for us. The replacement room was beautifully decorated, spacious, immaculate and comfortable, with the perfectly working AC. We really appreciated how Henry handled the situation and made sure we were looked after. He is a real asset to the hotel. Breakfast the next morning was also very good, with lots of choice and plenty of options. One area that could be improved is the separation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. For example, potatoes were served in the same dish as bacon/sausage and covered with the same lid, condensation dripping onto the food. Overall, despite the problems with our first room, we ended up having a very pleasant stay. Thank you to Henry for his excellent hospitality and for turning a disappointing start into a comfortable experience.

I recently stayed at the Wellton Riverside SPA Hotel and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Riga, whether for business or a weekend getaway. The location is a real highlight, within easy walking distance of the city centre, making it effortless to explore Riga's Old Town and main attractions without needing taxis or public transport. The rooms are clean and well kept, and on my second stay I was lucky enough to receive a complimentary upgrade to a family room, which was surprisingly spacious even for three people. The spa is excellent and very well maintained, and the entry price is reasonable, especially if you take advantage of the special rate offered on the first day of your stay, well worth checking out. Breakfast is decent, with a good variety to suit both sweet and savoury preferences. The crêpe and egg station is constantly replenished, so there's no risk of ending up with lukewarm food, everything comes fresh. The one downside for me was the coffee (and don't even ask about the cappuccino), though I'll admit that's a fairly high bar for an Italian coffee lover to clear. The reception staff were extremely professional and kind, even helping to manage life-saving medication requiring refrigeration. A small note here: there is a fridge in the room, but it doesn't get cold enough to reliably store medication, so it's better to rely on the reception's fridge for anything critical. The hotel is under 20 minutes from the airport outside peak hours. My tip: use Bolt for airport transfers rather than the taxis waiting right outside arrivals, it costs less than half the price for the same ride. Overall, a great choice in a fantastic location, highly recommended for anyone visiting Riga, even just for a touristy weekend.
