Whiskey Kitchen is a really cool spot with a huge selection of whiskey and bourbon. I definitely raised an eyebrow when they brought out ketchup with the fried chicken sandwich because it was homemade, and honestly, most homemade ketchup I’ve had always tastes a little off in some way. Not this one. This was legitimately the best ketchup I’ve ever had. I also tried their homemade ranch, which was very good too. The fried chicken sandwich itself was delicious and a big one. The fries came out hot and crispy, exactly how they should be. I also started with the catfish dip, which came with cornbread crostini. I had never seen that combination before, but it worked really well and made for a great shareable appetizer. The Old Fashioned was excellent too, and serving it over a single large ball of ice was a nice touch. The place has a really cool atmosphere overall, and it looked like there was also a couch lounge area if you just wanted to stop in for a drink and hang out. Definitely a place I’d come back to, whether for a full meal or just bourbon and an Old Fashioned. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40

Four dined here; 2 had great meals, all had great drinks, but for two, the entree was bad. We had the Harvest Stew, which was supposed to be hearty, full of pork and chicken, etc. I was not stew, it was a half bowl of watery soup; 3 pieces of fatty pork belly, no chicken to be found. Maybe we got a bad batch, but it was sure disappointing.
