We ordered lunch here for pick up on a Thursday afternoon. They only have street parking available, since it's on the main street and it was just after a snowstorm, so you can imagine how that situation was. Luckily, my sister was with me and she was able to just run down and grab the food. We ordered a few of the basic roll lunch specials to share. There aren't that many options to choose from. Some of the ones we got were California, shrimp tempura, salmon, tuna, eel, and spicy salmon. None of it was very good. There was way too much rice. The "spicy salmon" wasn't the traditional sushi takeout spicy salmon, but rather a roll of salmon slices, and globs of spicy mayo blobbed on top. Lunch specials come with a miso soup but that wasn't very good either. There are lots of better sushi takeout spots in Rutherford. Skip Yamada.

Super kind and respectful! I have a sesame allergy and they made sure to omit it from my order. Gave me green tea while I waited inside for my order to be ready. Sushi was some of the best I have had in this area. Thank you Yamada Sushi for such a positive experience! Will be back! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Sushi, Spring Rolls 5 pcs Dietary restrictions: Very careful about allergies.
