Zero Otto Nove in the Flatiron District continues to impress with its incredible take on Italian comfort food, and this visit was no exception. The atmosphere is as warm and inviting as ever, making it the perfect place for a cozy, flavorful meal. My wife’s choice, the Risotto con Ragu Bianco, was an absolute winner. The Arborio rice was cooked to creamy perfection, with the shredded short rib adding a rich, melt-in-your-mouth texture that perfectly complemented the slight sweetness from the yellow beets. The addition of green peas and peppercorn brought a burst of freshness and spice, while the parmigiano and decadent black truffle cream took the dish to another level. It was a beautifully balanced plate—savory, sweet, and just indulgent enough to feel special. As for my dish, the Rigatoni Genovese, it was a true standout. The six-hour braised beef brisket was tender and full of deep, savory flavors, and the sweet onions added a subtle sweetness that paired perfectly with the richness of the beef. The peppercorn and parmigiano rounded out the dish, creating layers of flavor with every bite. But what really made it memorable was the roasted bone marrow—finished right at the table, it added an incredible richness and depth to the already flavorful sauce. The combination of textures and flavors made this dish feel like a true celebration of Italian cooking. The service was, as always, attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without being overly present. The pacing of the meal was perfect, allowing us to savor every bite without feeling rushed. Zero Otto Nove once again delivers on both flavor and experience, offering dishes that are both comforting and elevated. Whether you're in the mood for something hearty like the Risotto con Ragu Bianco or crave the deep, savory flavors of the Rigatoni Genovese, you can't go wrong. This spot continues to be a go-to for top-notch Italian food in the Flatiron area. Not really Italian, sorry. Menu full of mistranslations and made up words (“broccoli di rabe”, really? At least use a dictionary?) Anyway, party of 4, we all ordered pizza and we all thought the dough was hard, difficult to cut and chewy. Pizza is supposed to be either soft and fluffy or crunchy, this was neither. The cheese on it wasn’t mozzarella. After hours we all realized it was hard to digest. Just no. Cute ambiance though I guess Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
