Zuma Rome is an upscale establishment that serves high-end Asian cuisine in the heart of the city. The ambiance is lively and energetic, with contemporary music playing throughout the place. The interior design is sleek and modern, with a stunning rooftop terrace that offers breathtaking views of Trinità dei Monti. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality of food and service justify the cost. The eatery is located conveniently close to the Spanish Steps, making it an ideal spot for tourists and locals alike.

Zuma Rome's menu features a wide range of dishes, including their signature black cod, truffle maki, shrimp tempura, and rock shrimp tempura. They also offer a variety of cocktails, such as the white negroni and special chocolate dessert drinks. For those who prefer soft drinks or wine, they have a selection of options available, including the Cervaro by the glass.

One downside is that the service can be inconsistent at times, with some customers experiencing delays and mistakes in their orders. However, the staff is generally friendly and helpful, making the overall experience enjoyable.

Overall, Zuma Rome is a fine dining spot that offers a unique dining experience with its fusion of Asian flavors and Italian location. Its beautiful setting, delicious food, and impressive cocktails make it a must-visit for anyone looking for an upscale restaurant in Rome.

Zuma Rome may have an impressive location and a great reputation, but unfortunately the service was among the worst I’ve experienced at a restaurant of this caliber. The evening started with the wine being poured once when the bottle was opened. After that, no one ever came back to refill our glasses—we were simply left to do it ourselves because the service had effectively disappeared. The food service was even worse. Several dishes only arrived after we had asked multiple times, with some needing to be requested three separate times before they finally appeared. What made the experience truly unacceptable was the way our concerns were handled. Instead of listening, the manager repeatedly talked over us, wouldn’t let us finish a sentence, and insisted that we were wrong. There was no willingness to acknowledge the problems, no apology, and no genuine attempt to make things right. For a restaurant charging premium prices, you expect impeccable hospitality and attentive service. Instead, we received indifference, poor organization, and an attitude that suggested customer feedback simply didn’t matter. Rome has countless exceptional restaurants where guests are actually valued. I cannot recommend Zuma Rome and would strongly advise others to spend their money elsewhere. Oh, and wasps everywhere.
